After enjoying all the wonderful Merida restaurants over the past ten years we have been wintering here, Margo Amalia is now our absolute favourite. From the breakfast eggs benny, the fresh baked postres, the most incredible cheesecake you will ever have and the Greek chicken breasts the kitchen is superb. We also love the history since the restaurant is in the remodeled house of their grandparents and the decor is stunning. Not large so make a reservation so as not to be disappointed. Each of the several times we ate there this trip, Asgard was our waiter. He is a delight with a modicum of English and he seemed to really enjoy describing the dishes to us. We will be going back many times when we return to Merida next winter.
Pleasant surprise, original and well served dishes which are very tasty. The place has A/C and it has a nice decoration.

The waiters are very kind and helpful, and the vibe of the place is amazing and relaxing ! Peaceful place, with good food. My waffle wasn’t the best that I had, but the viennoiseries are very good ! Btw they gave us some for free at the end so we were kind of happy about it :)
This is a most delightful restaurant, they have added all the finishing touches to make you feel like you are eating the comfort food of your youth but remastered with lots and of flair. The owners/chef are most gracious. This is in my top five of great restaurants here in Merida and we have been eating here for many years. The sopa de tomate may be my favorite to date.
Excellent restaurant. Food is delicious, the service is wonderful. We had a large group and so they allowed us to use one of their private dining areas. I will definitely be coming there again.
